Many coaches are very hesitant to refer one of their athletes to someone outside of their program. I use to think that way until I met Matt. I consider Matt a mentor to both myself, and our program. Every one of our athletes that has trained with Matt has walked out of his care much improved. In Matt we trust!

Consulting with Matt has made a big difference in our athletic programs. Over the past three years we have won state championships in football, men’s basketball twice, women’s basketball, and volleyball. Titles are great, but the real payoff is seeing our entire program rise to a new level of participation, and doing so with safe and very effective methods.

Before my time with Matt as a coach, I was an average softball player. After his guidance in the weight room, I surpassed my wildest dreams. My work ethic shot through the roof and I found a new love for softball and fitness. Matt sparked a new passion in me for nutrition and wellness, one that I am pursuing as a career. The improvement he helped me achieve led me to come back to work with him even after I moved on to a D1 school. I cannot thank him enough for his impact, and everything that he continues to do for me.

Matt is so much more than just a coach. He is an advisor, a friend, a mentor, confidant, and he is family. He empowered me to achieve my goals, reminded me often of what I was capable of, and expected me to work hard and respect myself. He was always available when I needed him, and for that I am forever thankful. I am a D1 athlete on a full ride in part because of his knowledge, guidance, and ability to get more out of me as an athlete than I thought I had to give.

I won’t allow myself to rely on talent alone to compete in the big leagues anymore. Coming off shoulder surgery has motivated me to work harder than I ever have to sustain a competitive big league career. Working with Matt has pushed me beyond my own limits many times, and improved my physical condition quickly. I know I will be prepared to perform at a high level.

I have worked with Matt since the 7th grade. Training with him put me ahead of the competition in high school and allowed me to stand out from the other athletes. This training also gave me a head start in college where I was more prepared than the other freshmen softball players at the University of Tulsa.

I have been with Matt and his program for over two years and I have nothing but positive things to say. He is genuine, he cares a lot about me, and his efforts show it. Through success, and injury, and hard times, he has helped me not only become a better athlete, but a better person. Matt never backs down from a challenge. He is always striving to improve the program to give his athletes the best care possible. If the question is whether or not he is a good trainer, the answer is simple. He is an absolutely amazing trainer. I would not want to have any other.

If I had to describe Matt in one word, without a doubt it would be dedicated. I have never met a more committed person to his job or his players. Matt’s devotion to making me a far better athlete physically or mentally than I ever imagined I could be is why I achieved my dream of playing D1 softball in the SEC. Matt is simply the best at what he does, and I am forever thankful for his unwavering dedication to me and my dreams.
